Samuel Melendrez

Samuel Melendrez explores the silent dialogue between cities and memory. Through architecture and urban landscapes, his work captures a metaphysical stillness—spaces devoid of human presence, yet filled with echoes of time. His paintings transform the noise of the city into quiet contemplation, revealing the tension between movement and permanence.

A graduate of the University of Guadalajara and the School of Arts and Crafts in Granada, Spain, Melendrez has exhibited in major museums and galleries across Mexico, Spain, and the United States. His work is part of the permanent collections of institutions such as the Museum of Modern Art in Mexico City, the Museum of Arts at the University of Guadalajara, and the National Bank of Mexico’s collection.
